Crackdown is a third-person shooter open world developed by Realtime Worlds and published by Microsoft Game Studios for Xbox 360. It was released in North America on February 20, 2007, and worldwide on 23 February 2007. Repression was conceived by founder Realtime Worlds' David Jones, who also created Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings.

 Located in the fictional Pacific City, the player controls a biologically enhanced agent, the task of defeating three crime lords and organized crime syndicates. The gameplay is not linear: rather than following a rigid sequence mission, players are free to choose the method of completing their missions and activities.
